Description: This dataset contains US Census Bureau 2000 data for the State of Florida. The data contains selected fields from the Summary 1 file that includes information on total population, race, sex, age, and household. This data is at the block level, the smallest unit of census data. Using GIS techniques, it is possible to summarize the data by Block Group, Tract, Traffic Analysis Zone (TAZ), Zip Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA), or County. This layer is an update to the existing 2000 Blocks, the record count and attribute information are the same, but the linework has been updated as part of the U.S. Census Bureau's MAF/TIGER Accuracy Improvement Project.

Description: This data set contains Block Groups for 2000. This layer was created for use by the Florida Department of Transportation for use in the Community Characteristics Inventory (CCI) report. The spatial portion of this data was retrieved from TIGER at the block group level. Demographic data has been collected at 100% count (Summary File 1) and sample basis (Summary File 3). A variety of GIS techniques including python scripting were used to parse, aggregate, and join the tabular demographic data to the spatial data.

Description: This dataset contains 2000 Census Tracts as they are defined by the Bureau of the Census. The data contains selected fields from the Summary 1 file that includes information on total population, race, sex, age, and household.Census Tracts are statistical subdivisions of counties generally having stable boundaries and, when first established, were designed to have relatively homogeneous demographic characteristics. A Census Tract contains an average of 4000 people.
Description: This dataset contains the US Census Bureau 2010 Census Blocks for the State of Florida with selected fields from the 2010 Redistricting Summary File and Summary File 1. Census blocks are the smallest unit of Census data. Some of the fields included in this dataset are total population, age of the population, population by race, density and percentage of population by race, and household occupancy. This data is specifically designed for use within the Florida Department of Transportation's Efficient Transportation Decision Making Process (ETDM) . However, the subset of redistricting and summary file fields included herein is useful for a variety of applications and uses. If you are looking for census block data with complete attribute data in its original form from Census Bureau, please see the FGDL layer CENBLK2010_SF_AUG11.

Description: This dataset contains the US Census Bureau 2020 Census Block Groups for the State of Florida with selected fields from the 2016-2020 American Community Survey (ACS). Some of the fields included in this dataset are total population, education, and housing and economic characteristics. This data is at the block group level. The ACS was designed to replace the long-form of the decennial census. The ACS is a survey that releases data annually. ACS data are survey estimates distributed for 1-, 3-, and 5-year time periods. The 5-year estimates are the only time period estimates that provide data at the block group level. This data is designed for use within the Florida Department of Transportation Efficient Transportation Decision Making Process (ETDM). However, the subset of ACS fields included herein is useful for a variety of applications and uses.

Description: This dataset contains US Census Bureau 2020 urban areas in Florida. After each decennial census, the Census Bureau delineates urban areas that represent densely developed territory, encompassing residential, commercial, and other nonresidential urban land uses. In general, this territory consists of areas of high population density and urban land use resulting in a representation of the urban footprint. Nationwide, there are 2,646 Urban Areas (UAs) in this data release with either a minimum population of 5,000 or a housing unit count of 2,000 units. Each urban area is identified by a 5-character numeric census code that may contain leading zeroes.
